Apex Legends: What are Heirlooms? How to Get Them
Heirlooms can be purchased with Heirloom Shards in Apex Legends. These weapons aren’t more damaging than normal melee hits, but they look great. They are one of the most sought-after cosmetics in the game. You can use them in your ranked matches or while waiting in the Arenas lobby. We are here to help you find the best heirlooms and explain their value.
What are Heirlooms?
Legends can purchase Heirlooms, a rare type of cosmetic. These are rare items that have bespoke dialogue and banner options. A melee weapon is also included. These items do not affect your chances to win in-game. They’re merely cosmetic enhancements that make your melee attacks seem cooler. At the moment, not all Legends have heirlooms.
How to Get Heirlooms
1. Heirloom Shards
Heirloom Shards are available for crafting Heirlooms. These shards can be obtained in Apex Packs. They can also be purchased or ranked up. The Battle Pass also allows you to earn shards. You can create any Heirloom you like if you are one of the lucky ones.
It’s difficult to obtain an Heirloom because there is only a 1 in 500 chance of getting an Apex Pack with Heirloom Shards. This means it may take you until your 500th Apex Pack before you can get one. This Apex Packs Calculator will show you how close you are to getting the coveted shards.
2. Craft Heirlooms
Go to the main menu once you have Heirloom Shards in your inventory. Click on the store to open a smaller menu. You will see this screen when you click on the “Heirlooms” section.
Please scroll down to locate the Heirloom you are looking for and click on it. You can follow the steps to buy/craft the Heirloom you desire. After you’ve used up your shards, you can collect more to make other Heirloom pieces.
Apex Legends Heirloom List
Wattson Heirloom Set
Wattson finally owns her Heirloom set. It took Wattson a while to finally get her Heirloom set. She was one of the original Legends.
It also includes:
- Care Banner Pose
- Energy Reader Melee Weapon
- The “Try as hard as you like, you can’t Kilowatt…son” quip.
Rampart Heirloom Set
Rampart got her Heirloom at the Rampart Town Takeover. Evolution Collection Event also included a pipe wrench named “Problem Solver”. Although the name may not be Sheila or Big Maude’s, we love the idea of a wrench that doubles up as a bubble-gum dispenser.

Remainder Heirloom Set
The Genesis Collection Event, which took place in June 2021, saw the release of Revenant’s Heirloom Set.
It also includes:

- “You don’t want to look at this up close”, Quip
Set of Bangalore Heirlooms
Bangalore’s Heirloom set, which was released during the Chaos Theory Collection Event in March 2021.
It also includes:

- Cold Steel melee weapon skin
- Intro quip
