Rob Van Dam, a WWE Hall of Fame Inductee, was ready to make his in-ring debut at the Royal Rumble 2022. Unfortunately, the plans were scrapped when WWE decided not to allow RVD to make a surprise appearance at the Men’s Rumble. RVD was kept in place as a substitute wrestler for any of the scheduled wrestlers who couldn’t make it.

“Mr Monday Night” revealed that he had ordered a new attire for the event and was fully expecting to be part of this year’s 30-man event. Van Dam sees at most a few matches in the tank, with plenty of stars left on the main roster for RVD to check off his bucket list.

The former WWE Champion first appeared in the company’s 2014 matches against Alberto Del Rio, Cesaro, and other members of The Shield. He then returned to Impact Wrestling and independent wrestling. RVD was then inducted into the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame.
