According to Bloomberg, we’ll soon get our first glimpse at PlayStations revamped subscription service. According to codename Spartacus, the new service is expected to rival Xbox Game Pass in terms of content and services it will offer.

According to VGC Spartacus will combine Sony’s two existing services, PS Plus, and PS Now into one tasty package. It was previously reported that the new service would include both new and retro titles. There are also plans to add some classic PS1 and PS2 games.

One insider said last month that Spartacus would be similar to Game Pass. It will be broken down into three levels, Extra ($13/PS10) and Premium ($16/PS12). According to some sources, the cheapest tier is PS Plus. Extra will allow you access to a “downloadable games catalogue”, which will contain 300 games, while Premium will offer streaming and classic games.

These new services will be available on both PS4 (and PS5) if you haven’t yet managed to grab the new-gen PlayStation 5 console. We’ve heard Spartacus is coming out of the gate before. It was previously reported that it would be revealed at the end of February. So, take this update with some optimism.
