Demon SlayerRight now, it is the most popular country in the world. Although the manga was over last year, its anime adaptation continues to be a hit. RecentDemon SlayerFilm has set several records, including the best foreign-language film debut in America, the highest-grossing anime film, and the highest-grossing Japanese film ever made. TheSecond season of the Demon Slayer anime was also confirmed. Due to the manga’s short run, it will likely be fully adapted in the coming years. A mobile and console version of the game is now available.

However, some may feel bitter because the new console Demon Slayer is an arena fighter from CyberConnect2 that will feature a single-player component that adapts the first season of the anime. This mode is a bit different than an arena fighter. It will focus on the anime’s environments and fight non-playable bosses. However, it still follows the same path as licensed anime games. For inspiration, future Demon Slayer titles and other licensed games should look at some Ubisoft-developed Naruto video games on the Xbox 360.

Ubisoft Montreal developed Naruto: Rise of a Ninja and Naruto: The Broken Bond. These games were released on the Xbox 360 in 2007 and 2008. Rise of a Ninja was the first Naruto title developed by a non-Japanese company. Although outsourcing to mobile game companies all over the globe has become more common since 2007, it is still uncommon to see an anime licensed game developed by a North American developer. These games aren’t as popular today as they were ten years ago. They received positive reviews and were nominated for the Spike Video Game Awards’ “Best Game Based On a Movie or TV Show.”

Their unusual developer was probably responsible for much of the acclaim. Rise of a Ninja, The Broken Bond, and the Naruto pre-time skip story was able to adapt the entire story into an action-adventure format. There are some gameplay features based upon Naruto’s ninja action and some platforming. The fighting game component was used to combat encounters. Although it looked like an arena fighter, the format was closer to SoulCalibur. These two gameplay types are interwoven in show-accurate campaigns, so it’s not surprising that shonen enthusiasts who have seen these titles will want more.
