COMPLETE SKYRIM FISHING GUIDE: SWIMS-IN-DEEP-WATER’S CHALLENGES AND RADIANT BOUNTIES
This is the second part of the complete Skyrim fishing guide, Swims-In-Deep-Water’s Fishing Challenges, and his Radiant Bounties. Viriya’s questline is highly recommended. It is detailed in the first section of the guide. This map is beneficial for finding great spots to fish.
SWIMS-IN-DEEP-WATER’S FISHING CHALLENGES
Swims-Indeep Water is a master fisherman and challenges players to catch as many fish as possible. When looking for a particular fish, there are four primary considerations: where it can best be caught, what kind of whether it can be caught in, and what rod to use. The majority of the fish can also be found in the water, so a rod is unnecessary. You can obtain the fish by any method you prefer. It’s recommended that one picks up the Fishing Mastery books that spawn in the Riften Fishery after each of Swims-In-Deep-Water’s quests.
CARP
The best place to catch Carp is in the Karth River, during fair weather. For the best chance of hooking one, use a regular fishing line. They are rarely caught, so it is best to wait until dawn or dusk to increase your chances of hooking one.
GLASSFISH
These fish are best caught in lakes and ponds during fair weather. These fish are small, so use them if you have the Alik’ri fishing rod from Viriya.
GOLDFISH
These fish are found in lakes and ponds during fair weather. If one wants to grab one, they are easy to find in the water. The Alik’ri Fishing Rod increases your chances of hooking small fish. It is not often caught, so wait until dawn or dusk for the best odds.
DOGFISH
Dogfish can be caught in rivers during good weather, but they can also be caught in the rain. It would be best to use the regular fishing pole to catch them. A second rod can reduce the chances of hooking large fish.
