Trek to Yomi Releases Samurai Action-Filled Video Gameplay Trailer
Flying Wild Hog, the developer, and Devolver Digital, the publisher, have released a gameplay trailer of their upcoming side-scrolling samurai action title Trek to Yomi.
This trailer gives players a taste of Trek to Yomi’s flavor. Hiroki, the main character, cuts his way through beautiful black-and-white landscapes and underground tunnels. He also cut through enemies.
Monochromatic colors remind us of Akira Kurosawa’s classic samurai films. This cultural touchstone is also underlined in Ghost of Tsushima’s black-and-white “Kurosawa” mode. Trek to Yomi’s emphasis on side-scrolling combat gives Yomi its style in the pantheon of games about vengeful would-be samurai.
Trek to Yomi’s steam page:
“As a promise to his dying Master the young swordsman Hiroki has sworn that he will protect his hometown and those he loves from all dangers.” The lone samurai is confronted with tragedy and forced to perform his duty em>
