Yay, Elden Ring. It’s a popular item, but some people hate it. Let’s face the truth, and if you are in the latter group, you are likely struggling to understand it. It’s not that I judge, but it is undeniably difficult, and players will get stuck at times. It happens quite often.

You can always get more power by grinding for runes (if this is too slow), but one way you can make your journey through the Lands Between a little easier is to use a powerful weapon. It turns out that there is a sword hidden in the game that is strong and serves as a reference to Game of Thrones’ iconic Iron Throne.

It’s called the Grafted Blade Greatsword and is easy to recognize by any HBO fan. This blade is made of many other blades, and you wouldn’t want it to be stepped on barefoot. You will need at least 40 strength points and 14 dexterity points to use it.

It’s no surprise that Elden Ring contains Easter eggs. These eggs pay homage to George R.R. Martin was the author of the fantasy novel series A Song of Ice and Fire, which was later adapted into Game of Thrones. He also contributed heavily to FromSoftware’s latest title. Although he didn’t actually write the dialogue, he was essentially responsible for shaping the world and its creatures. It’s quite significant.

Another reference is subtler than the sword: the author’s initials were hidden within the names of some Elden Ring demigods. Take Godfrey and Rennala, Radagon and Marika as an example. We are proud of you, Mr Martin. We have to admit that he deserves this honour.
