The PlayStation Store Leaks another Game, Tactics Ogre Reborn
The fires of war are lighting up the kingdom of Valeria. Quest Corporation may have been defunct, but Tactics Ogre is expected to be resurrected. This news is also from an official source.
The Tactics Ogre: Reborn was revealed by the PlayStation Store earlier today. The game was found in an entry in the store and was quickly noticed by the whole internet. Unlike the PlayStation Store leak of The Last of Us Part I last week, this store entry was sparsely detailed. It is the remake of The Last of Us. Square Enix is the publisher. This is all that’s known. The PlayStation Store leak may indicate that the game will be coming to one of the consoles. However, the Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, or PC release will likely follow.
A new piece of artwork was featured on the store page, presumably by Akihiko Yoshida. The artwork shows Denim Pavel, the lead character, in a war council along with his supporting cast, including Vyce, Catiua, and Canopus, his winged Canopus.
This isn’t the first time that we’ve heard about this project. Square Enix registered a new trademark with this name in April this year. This was a 2021 leak by Nvidia. Dataminers discovered a variety of unannounced games in a GeForceNow update. This list also included “Tactics Ogre Remaster,” pointing to the game. Nvidia stated that the list was speculative and was intended for “internal testing and tracking.” However, some releases and announcements have shown the list to be accurate, even if it was speculative.
Tactics Ogre: Reborn is not yet known in its entirety. The store entry did not include screenshots. Square Enix released Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together back in 2011 and could rerelease that. However, the name suggests something stronger. Even something as simple as Triangle Strategy could be improved.
