In the past year, an insider told us that an update would be “finally coming”s in addition to taan “free demo”. Capcom did not, however verify odenyed the claim.

Let’s get this out of the wy, because no matter how amazing the fan remake might be it is, we are entitled to the original Code Veronica remake!

The story seems to have turned into another optimistic possibility… Did it?

On Twitter, the user @AestheticGamer1 tweeted, “From what I’ve heard, Zero is primarily being lead by K2 & M-Two (who most recently did Separate Ways DLC for RE4 & were a support studio on RE4).”

Then they continued “Code Veronica is Capcom Dev 1 with a lot of the same people who worked on RE2 & RE4 though. Beforeto his postings in the past, the leaker directed the fans to “wipe the expectations of Resident Evil 9 being announced this summer”.

While that may be disappointing for many, some were excited to get more “confirmation” that the Code Veronica remake was going to go ahead.

Based on what I’ve heard, Zero is primarily being led through K2 & M-Two (who most recently worked on Separate Ways the DLC of RE:4, and were a RE:4 support studio), Code Veronica is Capcom Dev 1 with many of the same team that worked on RE:2 and RE:4, however.

“Oh my god thank you that is incredible if Dev isre doing Code Veronica,” said @szn_theo.

On Redd,it the user posted, “I see this as a major victory. Code Veronica is the least available RE game, outside of that of the OG games. It is more important to remake Code Veronicthanat RE5 revamp.”

“Code Veronica being made by the A-team is such a W,” one observation further on in the thread was. “I bet it’s gonna become one of the fafavoriteses.”

Naturally, Capcom is staying rather quiet on the subjectDespiteof the numerous RE remakes currently in development, Code Veronica is yet to be officially recognized as a remake.

Hope is our constant companion but we are not there yet.
