New Content Coming to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 in Mid-April
Sabre Interactive has announced exciting new content for *Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2*, set to release in mid-April. The upcoming Trygon update will introduce new DLC and a fresh map for PvE, alongside several gameplay adjustments.
Space Marine 2, which has already gained significant popularity, surpassing 4.5 million players since its release in October 2024, continues to expand. The new patch will feature two DLC packs: the Space Wolves Chapter and the Imperial Fists Champion packs, both including new cosmetics and weapons. The Exfiltration map, a new addition to the PvE mode, will challenge players with a giant Tyranid boss, the Trygon, who ambushes players with surprise underground attacks.
PvP players will also benefit from improvements, including a reworked matchmaking system for better team balance, as well as the introduction of Private Lobbies, allowing players to customize their sessions. Additional tweaks include updates to weapon perks, new color options in the Armouring Hall, and a community event running from March 24 to 30 for extra XP rewards.
Despite the announcement of *Space Marine 3*, Saber Interactive has reassured fans that *Space Marine 2* will continue to receive updates and fresh content, with surprises still to come that even dataminers haven’t uncovered. The developer remains committed to addressing player feedback and expanding the game.
