Nintendo Announces New Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Amiibo for Switch 2

Nintendo has revealed five brand-new amiibo for *The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom*, two years after its original release. The announcement came alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, where details about the upcoming console and its upgrades to existing games were shared.

The new amiibo will feature the five sages who aid Link in his journey: Tulin, Yunobo, Riju, Sidon, and Mineru. The first four amiibo will launch on June 5, coinciding with the Nintendo Switch 2’s release and its enhanced version of *Tears of the Kingdom*. Mineru, designed in her construct form, will be released at a later, unannounced date.

As with previous amiibo, these new figures can be scanned into the game to unlock in-game items such as weapons, materials, and a paraglider fabric. While the exact unlockables remain unclear, the first four amiibo will likely be priced between $20-30 USD, with Mineru’s oversized figure expected to cost more.

Nintendo also confirmed that amiibo support will continue on the Switch 2. In addition to the *Tears of the Kingdom* figures, *Street Fighter 6* will also receive amiibo releases, including three figurines and 22 amiibo cards, launching on Switch 2’s release day.

Fans of both franchises are advised to pre-order early, as demand for the new amiibo is expected to be high.
