Dune: Awakening Delayed to June 10 for PC Release
Funcom has officially delayed the PC release of *Dune: Awakening* to **June 10, 2025**, pushing it back three weeks from its original May 20 launch date. The delay is aimed at polishing the game based on feedback from the ongoing closed beta.
Set in an alternate timeline of Frank Herbert’s *Dune* universe, the upcoming MMO survival game lets players explore Arrakis, align with iconic factions like House Atreides or House Harkonnen, and uncover the mystery of the missing Fremen.
In a statement on Steam, Funcom explained the extra time will be used to “fine-tune” the experience for launch and ensure a smoother day-one experience. While the delay only affects the **PC version**, the **console release** still doesn’t have a confirmed date due to development challenges, particularly with the Xbox Series S.
To ease the wait, Funcom confirmed an **additional beta** is planned before launch. Players can also access the **character creation tool** early to prepare for their adventure.
*Dune: Awakening* will launch as a **full release with no early access or subscription model**, and will offer both free and paid DLC post-launch.
