New World: Aeternum Confirms Third Round of Server Merges
Amazon has announced a third round of server merges for *New World: Aeternum*, set to take place on **April 29, 2025**. This follows previous merges in **November 2024** and **February 2025**, as the studio continues to optimize server populations.
In this latest wave, **Draco will merge into Aries** for EU players, while **Rosa will merge into Hudsonland** on the US East side. Amazon has not confirmed whether **free server transfer tokens** will be provided. Players affected by the merge can choose to move to another server manually or wait to be transferred to a default one.
After this merge, *New World* will operate with **28 servers** globally. The decision comes as Amazon continues to monitor population trends, with the studio stating, “We’ll continue to monitor population trends and adapt as needed.”
Since the launch of the free-to-play *Aeternum* update in 2024, Amazon has aimed to streamline its MMO experience. The game’s **Season 7** launched earlier this year, adding new solo trials, world bosses, seasonal content, and balance changes.
While some fans have called for regional mega-servers, others are watching closely as Amazon prepares for increased competition from upcoming MMOs like *Ashes of Creation*.
