Overwatch 2 Unveils Lore for Season 16’s DokiWatch Skins in New Comic
Blizzard has released an official Overwatch 2 comic titled *DokiWatch: The Heart of Hope*, giving fans a deeper look into the magical girl-inspired skin line featured in Season 16. The story focuses on the Mythic Heart of Hope Juno skin and introduces a lore-rich backstory narrated by Juno’s voice actor, Xanthe Huynh.
In the comic, heroes Kiriko, Brigitte, Widowmaker, and newcomer Freja discover Juno and help her unlock her powers to battle Nocturna—an evil version of D.Va. The story ends with Nocturna escaping with the help of a mysterious figure who appears to be Lifeweaver, hinting at possible future DokiWatch-themed skins.
Interestingly, both Lifeweaver and Mercy are referenced in the comic but currently lack full DokiWatch skins, suggesting more could be added in future updates.
This level of storytelling is rare for Overwatch 2 skin lines and marks a strong narrative push for the DokiWatch theme, following the LE SSERAFIM and Mirrorwatch events. Fans can currently unlock Mythic Heart of Hope Juno via the Mythic Shop, with other DokiWatch skins for Brigitte, Moira, Tracer, Kiriko, Freja, Widowmaker, and D.Va available through the Battle Pass or in the cash shop.
The *Merciful Magitech* Mythic Weapon skin for Mercy will also be added to the Mythic Shop later in the season.
