Baldur’s Gate 3 Director Praises Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
*Baldur’s Gate 3* publishing director Michael Douse has publicly praised *Clair Obscur: Expedition 33*, encouraging players to support the newly released RPG. Developed by Sandfall Interactive, the game launched on April 24 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S and has quickly become one of the highest-rated titles of 2025.
Douse took to Twitter to commend *Clair Obscur*, calling it “brilliantly attuned” and urging fans to buy the game rather than rely on Game Pass, noting that small studios benefit more from direct purchases. He highlighted the impressive work of Sandfall’s 30-person team and pointed out the game’s shared voice talent with *Baldur’s Gate 3*, including Jennifer English (Shadowheart), Charlie Cox, Andy Serkis, and Ben Starr.
*Clair Obscur: Expedition 33* blends turn-based and real-time combat in a fantasy world, offering a 30–60 hour campaign. It gained strong momentum ahead of launch, with its Collector’s Edition selling out within a week earlier this year. A live-action film adaptation is also in development.
With industry praise and fan acclaim, *Clair Obscur* is already a standout title in 2025’s RPG lineup.
