Bravely Default HD Remaster Drops Zero Encounter Rate Option
Square Enix has confirmed that *Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster* will not include the option to set encounter rates to zero, removing a fan-favorite feature from the original 3DS release.
Instead, players will be able to adjust random battle encounters between 50% and 200% while exploring the world map. While still offering some customization, this change marks a step back for fans who appreciated the full control offered in earlier versions of the game.
Set to launch exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, the HD remaster updates the 2012 classic with enhanced visuals and smoother gameplay but also brings some unpopular changes. Physical copies will be distributed via Game-Key Cards, requiring players to download the full 11 GB game from Nintendo servers.
Whether Square Enix will add a zero encounter option in a future update remains uncertain, but for now, players will have to navigate Luxendarc with more frequent battles than they may have hoped.
