Warzone Update Nerfs HDR and AMAX, Disables Ranked Play Temporarily
*Call of Duty: Warzone* has received a new update from Raven Software, bringing balance changes to several fan-favorite weapons, including the HDR Sniper Rifle and CR-56 AMAX Assault Rifle. These weapons returned with Season 3 alongside the long-awaited comeback of Verdansk and quickly became dominant choices in the meta.
However, the latest patch has nerfed both weapons. The AMAX has seen a reduced headshot multiplier (from 1.6x to 1.35x), slower sprint-to-fire speed (from 190ms to 215ms), and a slight decrease in aim down sight (ADS) movement speed. Meanwhile, the HDR has had its flinch resistance reduced by 60%, and its Heavy and Combat Stock attachments have also been weakened.
Other weapon changes include:
* **AK-74**: Max damage reduced from 45 to 39
* **KRIG C**: Damage range and headshot multiplier increased; bullet velocity and recoil improved, but ADS speed slightly reduced
* **C9 SMG**: Max damage increased from 38 to 40
In addition to weapon adjustments, Raven Software has temporarily disabled Ranked Play due to ongoing issues with server disconnects and incorrect SR (Skill Rating) tracking. The studio is actively working on a fix and plans to restore the mode once it’s stable.
Public events in Ranked Play have also been adjusted, with *Restock* replacing *Fire Sale* to encourage better mid-to-late game cash management.
Bug fixes include:
* Players redeploying from the Gulag without weapons
* Incorrect placement display after Casual BR matches
* Elimination drops showing incorrect Field Upgrades
* JAK Slash attachment missing in Gunsmith
Raven Software is investigating the root cause of server issues introduced with the Season 03 Reloaded update and will share updates as they become available.
