Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Delayed to 2026
**Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra** has officially been delayed until **early 2026**, pushing back its original 2025 holiday release. Developer **Skydance New Media** announced the delay via social media, stating the extra time is needed to polish the game and deliver the best possible experience.
Set during **World War 2**, Marvel 1943 features **Captain America** and **Azzuri**, the Black Panther of that era, alongside **Gabriel Jones** of the Howling Commandos and Wakandan spy **Nanali**. The game promises a unique look at the Marvel Universe’s past, an era not often explored in video games.
Originally announced in **2021**, the game is being developed with the creative input of **Uncharted writer Amy Hennig** and **Marvel writer Marc Bernardin**. Fans got their first full look at the story and characters in 2024 after early teaser footage was shown at **D23 Expo 2022**.
While the delay may disappoint fans, Skydance assures players that **“exciting things”** are still to come, with more announcements planned for the near future.
