If you’re on Roblox as much as I am, you already know Robux runs everything. You need it for outfits, gamepasses, accessories—basically anything worth having. But not everyone’s trying to spend real money on it every week.
Good news is, there are actually some apps and legit ways to get Robux without paying. I’ve tried most of these myself, and they work if you don’t mind putting in a little time.
1. Google Opinion Rewards
This one’s super easy. You download the app, answer a few quick surveys when they pop up, and get Google Play credit. I’ve used it to buy Robux more than once. You won’t get rich from it, but it adds up.
Tip: Turn on notifications so you don’t miss the surveys. They’re random and don’t take long.
2. Swagbucks and Other Reward Apps
Swagbucks, InboxDollars, and FeaturePoints are all kind of the same idea—you do tasks like watching videos or filling out surveys, then earn points. You trade those points for gift cards and use them to buy Robux.
Some tasks are garbage, but a few are actually worth it. Just pick the ones that give you the most points without wasting your time.
3. Microsoft Rewards
If you’re using a PC or Xbox, this one’s basically free Robux just for using Bing and doing some small daily stuff. I use it every day—open Edge, do the search tasks, and stack points.
Once you’ve got enough, you can get Xbox gift cards and use those to buy Robux on console. Easy.
4. Roblox Events
Roblox runs events all the time, especially around holidays or when they partner with brands. Some of them have in-game challenges, free stuff, and even Robux rewards if you’re lucky.
Just check the Events tab or follow Roblox’s YouTube and Twitter. You gotta catch them while they’re live, though—they don’t last forever.
5. Real Giveaways from Creators
I’ve gotten Robux from giveaways a couple of times, but only from people I know are legit—YouTubers I watch, or Discord servers that are actually moderated. If someone random DMs you or asks for your password, forget it. That’s a scam.
6. Make Your Own Game
This takes more time but it’s the best way long-term. Use Roblox Studio to build something simple—an obby, a simulator, whatever—and add gamepasses or donation buttons. If people play it, you earn Robux. Doesn’t have to be crazy. Just functional and fun.
7. Design Clothes or Accessories
If you’ve got Premium, you can make and sell shirts, pants, even accessories now. I started by making basic t-shirts and got a few sales just from posting in some groups and Discords. If you make stuff that looks good or follows a trend, people will buy it.
8. Use Affiliate Links
Every time you upload a game or item, Roblox gives you a referral link. If someone buys it through your link, you get Robux. I’ve used it on TikTok and even sent it to friends—works better than you’d think, especially with UGC items.
What You Should Never Do
-
Don’t use Robux generator websites. They’re fake and they’ll either scam you or steal your account.
-
Don’t ever give your password to anyone.
-
Don’t install weird extensions that promise Robux—they’re usually just malware.
Final Thoughts
You don’t need to spend money to get Robux if you’re smart about it. Just use apps that actually pay out, create something cool, or take advantage of what Roblox already offers. None of it’s instant, but it works if you stick with it.
If you want links to the apps I use or need help getting started with gamepasses or shirts, hit me up. I’ve done most of this stuff already.
