ABOUT THIS GAME
Dead Matter is the definitive zombie survival game. Players must struggle to survive in a zombie-packed, post-apocalyptic world that boosts whichever playstyle matches you best. Settle down and shield your house from outside threats having an expansive crafting and barricading system, nurture and live off the property or branch outside, explore, and scavenge whatever vehicles, weapons, and meals you may find in a zombie-plagued Calgary — independently, or together with your friends.

Starting as A mod in ancient 2012, before hitting a public launch in January of 2013, Dead Matter is very much a long-time passion job for us. Suggestions, opinions and dialogue is very much welcome, as we aim to give our players with the absolute best experience that we possibly can and also to us, that means working alongside the community.

Being Part of a very small team means we, as developers, understandably have a lot on our plate and a lot of everything you see here is the result of our team’s unparalleled work ethic demonstrated through several months of extreme dedication and hard effort, even when some team members were employed as a hobby project apart from their regular tasks. We think that nothing is impossible when the right amount of work is applied, and we are aware that the last release will reflect that.

The Nature of sport development means that, through the years, many attributes and strategies may be scrapped or changed. Though nothing we’ve posted here is necessarily final, we have a short list of some of our planned features and a few of which are fully integrated and interconnected.

Multiplayer
A truly open-world game would not be complete without the ability to combine with your buddies and unite your abilities to increase your chances of survival. This has been supported (and executed ) since evolution began in March.

Crafting
Crafting your own equipment and upgrades are a natural expansion of a true survivalist abilities, and we would like to signify that in the match. Check out the screenshots for a little taste at some of the things you’ll be able to build ingame to your weapons!

Zombie AI
A clear necessity. To rival the greats, our zombie AI system has been developed in its center to efficiently handle and support massive hordes of zombies, as noticed in our demonstration movie. Though we’re not even near done, and plan to continuously work on and improve this system so we can deliver higher amounts of better zombies on screen without murdering server or client functionality.

Our robust electrical system allows you to completely power your house, opening up many gameplay options; from the normal minutia of turning lights on and off, to permitting the use of electricity tools to enhance your crafting and upgrades. Although nothing this good lasts forever, and bad luck and bad preparation could leave you with dead equipment when things go south.

Hunger & Thirst
Food and beverages. You are going to want lots of these to survive. From rummaging through shelves, stores, bunkers, and buildings, to hunting fauna and farming your own vegetables and fruits, you’ll have to do everything you can to stay healthy — even if that means setting up barrels to collect rainwater.

Hunting
Finding, chasing, killing, and skinning the wildlife of Alberta for their meat and fur. We’ve tooled hunting to feel satisfying and fun to when you eventually track down this dollar you have had your eye on.

Medical System
When your appetite and hunger increases, your exposure to disorder raises with it.
Trauma must be dealt with, individual limbs have to be cared for as there are lots of unique afflictions they could fall into. When you are with your buddies, a dedicated doctor is a must-have.

Farming
We have created An in-depth farming system that takes advantage of many different tools That all serve a variety of uses. There are a Massive amount of things Which it is possible to use in your farming, and the further crafting-inclined can rig Devices to improve yield and speed.
