Pokémon TCG to Increase Production Amid Pre-order Issues
The Pokémon Company has announced plans to “maximise production” of future Pokémon TCG sets and expansions after issues arose with the cancellation of *Destined Rivals* pre-orders. The surge in demand for Pokémon TCG products has made it difficult for fans to obtain new packs and boxes on release day.
In response to increasing challenges, including scalpers driving up prices, GameStop has canceled pre-orders, and limits have been imposed on certain products. The Pokémon Center has implemented a queue system to help fans secure products during high traffic periods.
Acknowledging these frustrations, The Pokémon Company has confirmed it will ramp up production for future sets and reprints of popular products. They aim to improve product availability and introduce new technologies to better manage the purchasing process. The company is also exploring additional ways to enhance the Pokémon TCG shopping experience.
The upcoming *The Glory of Team Rocket* expansion will launch in Japan this April, with *Destined Rivals* set to release outside Japan in May.
