Days Gone Remastered Reveals New Horde Assault Mode and Features
Bend Studio has unveiled new details about *Days Gone Remastered*, including a first look at the brand-new Horde Assault mode. The PS5-exclusive remaster is set to launch on April 25, 2025, bringing updated visuals and fresh gameplay content to the original 2019 zombie survival title.
Horde Assault introduces an extra 10 hours of gameplay, challenging players to survive waves of increasingly dangerous enemies like Reachers, Breakers, and Rager bears. Players will start in the Cascade region with a basic sidearm and eventually unlock the Drifter bike to search for Supply Boxes containing random weapons. The mode features over 20 weapons and 24 gameplay modifiers called Injectors, such as “Exploding Freakers” and “Wanted,” which raise the difficulty from the start.
The mode also includes Side Jobs that reward resources and XP, along with a 35-level reward path offering Injectors, cosmetic patches, and unlockable characters like O’Brian, Lisa, and Skizzo. Bend Studio teased one mystery reward tied to the player’s bike that fans have “highly requested.”
In addition to Horde Assault, *Days Gone Remastered* will feature Permadeath and Speedrun modes. While the remaster is exclusive to PS5, PC players will receive the same new content through the *Broken Road* DLC, launching on the same day.
With just weeks to go until release, excitement is building among longtime fans hoping for a fresh take on the cult favorite.
