Fans Push for Mortal Kombat 9 Remaster With Growing Petition
A new fan petition is gaining momentum, calling for a remaster of *Mortal Kombat 9*—the 2011 reboot simply titled *Mortal Kombat*. The game, originally released on PS3, Xbox 360, and later PC and PS Vita, is now difficult to access due to outdated hardware and a delisted Steam version.
The petition, launched by a fan named Zach on Change.org, asks Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios to bring the game to modern platforms with improved visuals and restored online features. As of now, it has gathered over 700 signatures and continues to gain traction.
While there’s no official response yet, the interest is clear. Fans of the franchise are eager to see one of its most beloved entries return.
This isn’t the first time there’s been buzz around classic MK titles getting remastered—franchise co-creator Ed Boon previously polled fans about a potential *Shaolin Monks* remaster, though nothing came of it.
For now, the petition is giving fans a platform to show their support and keep the conversation alive.
