New Pokémon TCG Set Reveals Tornadus, Thundurus & Landorus Cards
The Pokémon Trading Card Game has officially revealed new cards for Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus as part of the upcoming *Black Bolt* and *White Flare* expansions. These sets mark the seventh release in the Scarlet and Violet era and will launch exclusively in Japan on June 6.
Focusing on the Unova region, *Black Bolt* and *White Flare* will feature over 172 cards, including Pokémon from Generation 5. Each set will introduce a new card rarity known as BW Rare (BWR), a unique Holofoil card with detailed artwork and vibrant background colors.
Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus will all appear in standard and Art Rare (AR) versions. Artists include Nisota Niso (Tornadus), hncl (Thundurus), and Kasumasa Yasukuni (Landorus) for the regular cards, and Kouki Saitou, Anesaki Dynamic, and Sie Nanahara for the AR versions. Thundurus and Landorus will appear in *Black Bolt*, while Tornadus will be found in *White Flare*. The AR variants will be split differently, with Thundurus in *White Flare* and the others in *Black Bolt*.
Booster boxes will include 20 packs, available in two formats: standard packs with 7 cards (2 guaranteed Holofoil) and deluxe packs with 35 cards (1 guaranteed AR or higher).
This release follows *The Glory of Team Rocket* set, which launched in Japan on April 18. After *Black Bolt* and *White Flare*, the next Japanese set will focus on Mega Evolutions, titled *Mega Brave* and *Mega Symphonia*, featuring over 126 cards. Meanwhile, Western fans can look forward to the *Destined Rivals* expansion arriving on May 30, featuring more than 240 new cards.
