Black Ops 4 Guide: How to Unlock Blackout Characters (Mason, Reznov, etc.)

 

There’s a lot of characters to unlock in Blackout, with some fan favorites returning from previous games like Alex Mason and Frank Woods.

Check out the list below for all the characters you can unlock in Black Ops 4 Blackout.

Frank Woods

To unlock Frank Woods in Blackout you need to get your hand on Wood’s Bandana and ride a helicopter.

Raul Menendez

To unlock Raul Menedez in Black out you need to do three things:

  • Get the Locket item
  • Kill an enemy with any shotgun
  • Kill an enemy with a melee attack

Reznov

Reznov currently isn’t available

Mason

Mason currently isn’t available

Ranger

Reach level 20 in Blackout

Frogman

Reach level 40 in Blackout

Airborne

Reach level 60 in Blackout

Seal

Reach level 80 in Blackout

Battle Hardened

Reach Prestige in Blackout

Shadow-Man

To unlock Shadow-Man in Blackout you need to buy the Black Ops Pass.

Dempsey

  • To unlock Dempsey in Blackout you have to collect the Death Machine from Zombies
  • Then use the weapon and to kill Zombies and finish Top 10

Nikolai

  • To unlock Nikolai in Blackout you have to collect the Cymbal Monkey from Zombies
  • Then use the weapon and to kill Zombies and finish Top 10

Richtofen

  • To unlock Richtofen in Blackout you have to collect a Ray Gun, usually found around Zombies
  • Then use the weapon and to kill Zombies and finish Top 10

Takeo Masaki

  • To unlock Richtofen in Blackout you have to collect a Katana
  • Then use the weapon and to kill Zombies and finish Top 10

Bruno

  • Get the Mugshot posted from supply drop or Blightfather
  • Kill an enemy with a melee attack
  • Finish the match with the Mugshot on you

Diego

  • Get the Comicbook from a Zombie or Blightfather
  • Get a headshot
  • Finish the match with the Comicbook on you

Scarlett

To unlock Richtofen in Blackout you have to find the Racing Goggles and Scarf

Shaw

  • Get Alchemy set from Zombies or Blightfather
  • Get Wraith Fire or Acid Bomb
  • Kill two enemies with the above mention equipment and finish the match with the Alchemy set on you

Battery

To Unlock Battery in Blackout do the following:

  • Find Battery’s War Machine Grenade Launcher
  • Get a few kills with the Grenade Launcher
  • Finish Top 15
  • This needs to be done in the same match

Firebreak

To unlock Firebreak in Blackout you need to fulfill the following conditions:

  • Get the Burned Doll item
  • Kill an enemy with fire

Nomad

  • Find Juneau’s Tags from the Supply drops
  • Kill three players with Specialist Skins
  • Finish match with Juneau’s Tags on you

Prophet

  • Get Oculat Prosthetic item from Supply drops
  • Win the match with three perks active

Ruin

Get the Grapple Gun and finish in the top 15

Seraph

  • To unlock Seraph in Blackout you have to find the Annihilator
  • Get kills with it and finish Top 15

Ajax

To get Ajax in Blackout you need to do the following:

  • Acquire the Broken Armor Plating
  • Collect three Broken Armor Plates from enemies

Crash

To unlock Crash in Blackout you need to do the following:

  • Get the Poker Chips item
  • Finish in the Top 3 in a Blackout match
  • Finish a match in Blackout with 15 healing items in your inventory

Recon

To unlock Recon in Blackout you need to do the following:

  • Get the character missions via supply box or supply drop
  • You’ll receive an item called the 1 Ching Coins
  • Keep this item in your inventory for the entire match
  • Avoid taking damage from the danger circle
  • Reach Top 15
  • This needs to be done in the same match

Torque

To unlock Torgue in Blackout you need to do the following:

  • Get the character missions via supply box or supply drop
  • You’ll receive an item called the Not From Torque
  • Place two Razor Wires and one Barricade on the ground
  • Reach Top 15
  • This needs to be done in the same match

That’s it, how to unlock all Blackout characters covered.

Personally I hate how the game doesn’t make it obvious how to unlock these characters, plus it can be hard to unlock them at first if you’re a beginner. Completing tough conditions while finishing top 15 can certainly be a challenge for some, however it makes those characters just as hard to get.
