Rainbow Six Siege May Move Free-to-Play in the Future

According to a meeting with PCGamesN, Rainbow Six Siege Leroy Athanassoff, Manager, stated that the team does need to see the game go free-to-play in the future. There are some hurdles about going that route before they think they have to tackle.

“I think on the development team, we need that at some point,” says Athanassoff. “We need the game to be accessible to everybody.”

The previously mentioned hurdles come with a way to highly-skilled players generating new accounts to exploit Rainbow Six Siege’s ranked-based matchmaking. Athanassoff also claims that going free-to-play is”a business decision,” so they can’t really only make that switch at the moment.
