Although the game designers did redraw the graphics, they kept the original sprite. While all weapons were the same, 3D Realms added new types of enemies. It still retains the black humor. All of the characters have been rewritten.
Duke Nukem 3D has been around for over 20 years, and was viewed primarily as a shooter. However, there is a story to the game. Duke Nukem, a US special agent, returns home to confront an alien invasion. The goal of this alien race is to kidnap and incubate women. Duke begins to confront the enemy.
There are 4 levels of difficulty in Duke Nukem 3D 20th Anniversary World Tour. If their corpses are not destroyed, the dead enemies can be resurrected at the hardest level.
