Star Wars: TIE Fighter, a Star Wars space flight simulator and combat video game from 1994 is a sequel to the Star Wars: X-Wing Series. After choosing a pilot file, the user views the “concourse,” a hub that opens to various game features.
The main objective of gameplay is to complete battles. However, there are many other areas in the concourse. The training simulator allows the player to fly each pilotable Imperial craft through an obstacle course.
There are four additional missions available for each craft in the combat chamber. These include training scenarios and historical reenactments. You can also view mission recordings and view technical information about each spacecraft in the game.
The briefing begins when the player selects a mission. It includes a description of the mission and an animated map showing vessel positions and flight patterns. Optionally, the player can read a list of questions and answers regarding the mission.
