The Godfather II is based on the 1974 film The Godfather Part II and a sequel to 2006’s The Godfather which itself was based on the 1972 film with the same title.
The Godfather II, like the 2006 version, tells the tale of Dominic, a character created by the developer, who takes over the Corleone operations in New York City after the game’s protagonist, Aldo, was killed in Cuba. Dominic’s story, as with the original game, intersects multiple times with the plot of the movie.
