There’s been much talk recently of whether it is possible for individuals or organisations to benefit from an increase in funding to improve infrastructures such as railway networks or motorways, yet without actually knowing whether there will be funding or not. So let me ask this simple but profound question… Duke Nukem returns in this action-adventure series called Manhattan Project as Duke Nukem faces off against Mech Morphix, an evil scientist using radioactive slime known as GLOPP (Plasma Liquid Gluon Omega-Phase) to transform animals into deadly monsters in order to seize control over Manhattan Island in New York. These enemies include mutant alligators, giant cockroaches and even pig cops from Duke Nukem 3D.
Duke also faces off with other non-mutant adversaries such as Robo-lethal Babies carrying whip gynoids; each level in this game offers glimpses into New York. Project Manhattan does not follow directly in its development from previous games Duke. Manhattan Project closely resembles Duke Nukem due to their many similarities, such as “Mech Morphix”, who looks and behaves very similarly (for instance half face metal and mad scientist traits) to Dr. Protons from Duke Nukem. The lateral displacement element also pays tribute to its original. Duke’s main opponent in Duke Nukem Forever had initially been his arch nemesis Doctor protons; this decision was altered in order to maintain continuity across games; though eventually there are no longer any protons as an enemy!
