To regain what was theirs before they died out completely, humanity united forces and formed small specialised teams called Project Rest In Pieces or R.I.P in order to eliminate threats like these; killing off undying would not suffice – Project R.I.P was established specifically as an action plan against them and it still continues today as killing is only temporary solution against these invading forces but killing their hostages is necessary in order for humanity’s survival!
Instead, humanity created highly advanced AI technology in order to control special forces known as Agents from headquarters. Utilizing this advanced tech known as R.I.P. Project AI managed to capture remnant souls of undead to improve Agent’s gear, weaponry and abilities while strengthening them further as a unit.
