Project Nomads is a Shooter/Strategy video game focused on floating islands with single control towers in order to facilitate player navigation. At first, only basic control mechanisms such as water levels control towers are in use on such islands as early as game one.
Players have the ability to improve their island by building various structures ranging from defensive cannons and power plants that supply energy to defensive cannons and defensive towers, all the way up to power plants that produce it. Structures are constructed using magical artifacts dating back from long past civilizations that serve as construction material.
Artifacts can be found all throughout the game; some hidden, others in plain view and handed directly from NPCs to you as gifts. Once activated, an artifact quickly deploys itself in buildings upon being activated – then stored back onto your belt until needed again later on! There are two categories of artifacts; both types need activating before use can start up quickly – each offering different capabilities when activated – such as blocking out beams from NPCs for example!
Red artifacts will disappear upon destruction of their structure they created; blue ones remain behind and may even combine together for greater power! Multiple copies can even be combined together if desired.
At first, two defensive turret artifacts when combined will create a level two defensive turret that engages threats automatically compared to its level one counterpart, then when two more artifacts are combined this gives rise to level three defensive turret sporting two cannons for twice the firepower!
