Phillip Graves from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has teased he will return for Modern Warfare 3. The actor who played Phillip Graves hinted his presence will return in Modern Warfare 3.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will reportedly release later this year and continue its story of Task Force 141. While Call of Duty games have traditionally been known for their multiplayer modes, Modern Warfare (2019) and Modern Warfare 2 (2022) received rave reviews for having engaging single player campaigns that featured fun missions with relatable characters that told an engaging narrative.

Now it is widely speculated that one of the main antagonists from Modern Warfare 2, who was thought to have passed on, will return for Modern Warfare 3.

Commander Phillip Graves made their mark as one of Modern Warfare 2’s secondary antagonists and seemingly met their end at the hands of C4 explosive thrown inside their tank near its conclusion. It’s easy to think they have met their end as this actor playing Graves recently posted an Instagram image with them wearing motion capture suit captioned, “Ahem…” which many take as evidence teasing their return as Modern Warfare 3 antagonist. Warren Kole may indeed be hinting towards something.

Naturally, this should be taken with caution since an actor could simply be auditioning for another role – though given that there will soon be another Call of Duty game on its way, it is conceivable he might currently be working on Modern Warfare 3.

Kole’s Instagram post theory could also tie in quite neatly with marketing trends for Call of Duty games that are due out later in the year, like Modern Warfare 3. COD games usually get announced during summer, lending further credence to his theory.

Time will only tell whether fans’ theories prove correct; but, should that prove the case, fans are eager to know how Graves survived such an aggressive blast in such close quarters.
