PlayStation fans are eagerly waiting for a Resistance 5 title on PS5.
PlayStation 5 fans are hopeful that the Resistance series will be revived as an exclusive shooting game.
The PlayStation 5 has a lot of exclusives, including The Last Of Us and Horizon Forbidden West. There’s a chance that even if the game will be released on other consoles in time, it may be an exclusive PlayStation first.
Fans are still hoping that the Resistance Series, which has been long due for a reboot or sequel, will be included in the list.
Resistance, a PlayStation-exclusive first- and third-person shooting series, was developed by Insomniac Games. The company is best known as the developer of Marvel’s Spider-Man, Ratchet & Clank, and Marvel’s Spider-Man. Players would be thrown into a conflict between the British/Americans, and an alien hostile race known as the Chimera not too long after World War 2.
Fans and critics have praised all games of this series, but there hasn’t been any new releases since the 2012 release Resistance: Burning Skies. Some fans still hope that the series will be revived, and have recently talked about an online revival.
Reddit user KylerRamos created a thread asking if anyone would like to see Insomniac, or any other developer for that matter, take another crack at the Resistance series on PS5.
Many fans of the franchise hoped for a reboot or remake, as well as a PlayStation 5 exclusive sequel.
Not even new. If they made it available on the 5, I would play any game, from a remaster or remake. “I LOVED the Resistance series.”

Insomniac Games is currently preoccupied with superhero games such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 or The Wolverine. However, that does not mean they won’t revisit their previous series in the near future.
