Game Pass Lies: P’s Fraudulent Game Pass
Game Pass members were given a pleasant surprise during Gamescom 2022: a future title was added to their library. Lies of P, despite the fact that its original release date of August 2023 has been changed since then, is still scheduled to be released on Day One as a Game Pass title. This game is part of a growing collection of games that are souls-like, such as Mortal Shell: Fallen Dynasty and Remnant: From the Ashes.

The Lies about P
The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi is the basis for Lies of P, a dark interpretation of this novel. Round8 Studio’s take on the Italian fantasy includes plenty of bizarre imagery and violent scenes, but it amplifies both with an artistic style inspired by FromSoftware classics such as Bloodborne and Dark Souls.
Players take on the role of the humanoid character, and navigate through a world filled with mayhem. Pinocchio wakes up in Krat without Geppetto, his creator and master. The puppet is equipped with an arsenal and a mechanical hand that can be used to equip gadgets. He must fight his way across the city while mastering the intricate combat mechanics.
The “Lying System” is an innovative game mechanic that allows players to stay true to their source material by lying. Choose carefully who you lie to, and about what on Pinocchio’s journey to becoming a boy.
On September 19th, 2023, Lies of P is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X & S. A demo is currently available, which showcases an early-game battle and a boss.
