Hogwarts Legacy launched this February and quickly rose to be one of the year’s most-anticipated games; though its initial surge may have faded somewhat since launch. That being said, Hogwarts Legacy outsold FromSoftware’s Elden Ring in sales in five weeks alone!
Hogwarts Legacy takes place centuries prior to both Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter events, in 1890s England. Players become students entering Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during its fifth academic year to the surprise of tutors and classmates alike.
Hogwarts Legacy features many side activities beyond its main story missions and random events, like one room that holds an “amazing secret”, though today’s discovery might take the cake! It is most certainly bizarre and entertaining!
Hogwarts Legacy player jes12345678 discovered what appears to be a Highland Cow, lounging around inside of an isolated house. She noted on Reddit she is uncertain if this was its actual residence or whether a cow just entered before they did…
When this was found in any other game, it may have been considered as a glitch; but given it takes place within the Wizarding World it could well be considered intentional. Some Redditors speculated that this Highland Cow could actually be an Animagus Wizard or Witch who can transform into animals like any animal imaginable; though it’s also possible that someone unwittingly cast transformation spell on an NPC when sharing this image on Reddit.
And apparently random animals hanging out in homes of Hogwarts Legacy isn’t as rare as we thought – Reddit user ultradespairthot shared an image showing one hanging around Sebastian Sallow’s home!
According to reports, Hogwarts Legacy developer’s next game has been noted in a job listing; fans want it set in London.
Hogwarts Legacy has launched for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Nintendo Switch version will release on 14 November 2023.
