Just want an existential crisis like Barbie had? Think back: 2002 has passed as long ago as when GTA: Vice City first debuted – time is really passing too quickly, and we should all book vacations immediately!

Reddit offers you an invaluable forum where you can express your thanks to those responsible.

Over the weekend, User RogerRoger63358 shared this revelation and its fans quickly began commenting that time seems to move much quicker nowadays compared to when they were young – one surefire indicator you are over 30 and becoming one of today’s Boomers.

GTA: Vice City remains one of the most beloved Grand Theft Auto games ever, so much that its fan base have long awaited what its sequel would entail since March 2023 – when fan mod created GTA: Vice City 2 trailer that will leave you longingly remembering those good old days outside your window!

Though its prospects of ever getting an official sequel may be distant, Rockstar Games seems more intent upon focusing on what lies in store with GTA V’s future than on what lies in its past. That doesn’t stop gamers from daydreaming and indulging their imagination with what-if scenarios, before spiraling further along a time/space continuum path than even The Doctor would envy!

But why does the news that the 2000s have already passed the point where they could rival the 1980s feel so discomfiting? Quite likely it’s because our brains have us convinced 2010 was only recently past instead of thirteen years back…!

What does this mean for GTA: Vice City? Not much; other than it will likely remain at the forefront of our minds for days to come; not because the game was one of Rockstar Games’ finest releases (it certainly still is!), but due to nostalgia. While its iconic status remains undiminished, its setting now tugs strongly at our memories in ways we hadn’t anticipated previously.

Waiting patiently for GTA6 to make its grand reveal can be frustrating but we can at least find comfort from dedicated fans in GTA 5 story expansion mods like Story Mode Expansion Mod (SSEM). Should the game seem short to you, use this mod to have conversations with NPCs like never before!

And if that wasn’t enough, GTA 6’s police force has also been revamped, not just visually but with respect to how it recognizes your vehicle if caught and allows surrender if caught.
