Simple in its nature, mysticalpresence’s 2K NPC Textures mod does exactly as promised: replacing in-game textures with superior ones to enhance every model’s facial structure, hair style, eyesight and hands – including those not located near camp sites but which still affect them! It affects unnamed NPCs as well as those more significant like those found there.
Joining other overhaul mods that dramatically transform the game experience – adding increased graphic fidelity, lighting effects and other enhancements – this mod joins other major overhaul mods for Xbox One that introduce greater graphical fidelity, lighting effects and other modifications that alter its visuals dramatically.
All these additions go a long way toward elevating an already fantastic game – an ironic fact considering Red Dead Redemption is being released as a remaster on both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch without any actual enhancements whatsoever.
Fans have taken exception to this decision and many were hoping for either a full remake of the original game or at the very least, remaster. Many have since expressed their displeasure through reviews bombs; their disappointment being compounded when it became evident that this re-release would cost $50/PS39.99 which only further angered players.
