Charles Martinet, the voice of Super Mario in Nintendo games will be leaving his role

Nintendo announced that Charles Martinet will no longer be the actor behind the Super Mario mascot. He has been doing this since 1991.

Nintendo announced the news via its official Twitter accounts. stated We have a special message for Mushroom Kingdom fans. Take a look.

Charles Martinet, the voice behind Mario for Nintendo’s games since a very long time is moving to a new role as Mario ambassador. Charles Martinet will no longer be recording the character voices in our games. He’ll still continue to share the joy of Mario with all of you and interact.

Martinet is presumably stepping down from his other roles including Luigi and Wario.

At this point, no news has been released about his successor.
