In the prologue, which is set in a urban bleak setting, Wolverine dismembers a group of soldiers who were sent to murder his enemies.
The thoughts of Wolverine drift off to the past that is long forgotten. The action commences at Angola, Africa, chronicling the missions that Team X, led by Col. Stryker and his troops: Logan/Logan, Wolverine/Logan twin brother Victor Creed, Wade Wilson, John Wraith, and Nord to find a village that holds the key to an important mineral deposits (implied as Adamantium).
If Raven the team’s CIA contact, protests against Stryker hurting innocent civilians, Stryker demands her termination and Wraith appears to kill her. Team X locates the village however the village refuses to cooperate. Stryker risks their life. Logan is a tyrant to his team but is successfully subdued, and beaten before he’s able to prevent the slaughter of the villagers.
