Tekken Tag Tournament is a Fighting video game. Tekken Tag Tournament continues the Tekken 3 fighting mechanics, with players battling as two-person teams.
The player may choose to switch fighters at any time during the game by pressing the tag button. This allows the other fighter to rest and regain some health. Tags can be used in various ways. For example, they could be used in between combos or when using special throws.
When a fighter is resting and their lifebar flashes, they can be tagged to temporarily boost their strength. In contrast to other tag games, such as Capcom’s Vs. Series, the player is defeated if only one fighter loses all their health. This forces players to use strategic tagging.
