Call of Duty Black Ops 2 video game is an Action, Shooter. Black Ops 2 is the first Call of Duty game with branching stories, where the choice of the player affects the mission at hand and the entire story.
These branching stories, known as the “Strike Force Missions”, appear in 2025’s storyline. They feature permanent deaths. Success or failure in these missions could have an impact on the larger campaign. The player can only choose one mission at a time.
Strike Force allows the player to take control of a variety of war assets such as jet fighters, unmanned aerial vehicles, and robots. The campaign will continue recording the loss if the player is killed in a Strike Force Mission, rather than letting them load an earlier saved checkpoint. Raul Menendez’s plans may be altered by the player’s actions in Strike Force missions.
The player could have altered the outcome of the Cold War by the time the game ended. In the main story missions, there are also points in which the player can make different decisions and take different paths. This could affect the gameplay as well as the story. Black Ops 2 is the first in the series that allows the player to customize their loadout before starting a mission, giving them more freedom to choose how they want to tackle a given mission.
