Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Selling Faster on PS5 Than Xbox

*Indiana Jones and the Great Circle* is seeing stronger sales on PlayStation 5 than it did on Xbox Series X/S and Steam, according to new data from Alinea Analytics.

Originally released in December 2024 for Xbox and PC, the game launched on PS5 on April 17, 2025. In its first week on Sony’s console, the game sold over 117,200 units—outpacing its Steam launch week total of 91,200 units. Meanwhile, most Xbox players accessed the title through Game Pass, highlighting what analysts are calling “subscription cannibalization.”

Despite being an Xbox-owned IP developed by MachineGames, the PS5 version has quickly become its strongest-performing release in terms of direct sales. However, the physical PS5 edition drew criticism for including just 20 GB on the disc, requiring a large download to play.

With more than 1.5 million wishlists on Steam and solid multiplatform performance, Microsoft has hinted at a sequel. Xbox head Phil Spencer expressed enthusiasm for what’s “coming next” in the *Indiana Jones* franchise.
