Two ‘Age Of Empires II’ streamers locked in a 70+ hour match, with no end in sight.

Sometimes I realize that gamers have a bad reputation for not touching the grass. While I enjoy spending hours on end playing games, there comes a time when things get ridiculous.

On Twitch right now, a huge Age of Empires 2 Match is taking place between Rubenstock and Andre_2i. As of this writing, they have been locked in a deadlock for more than 70 hours. This is a lot longer than what most Age of Empires matches should take. A typical game should take no more than an hour to complete. They’ve gone a long way past that.

This saga was first discovered by Reddit user ItsLikeRunescape who posted a stream clip-on r/LivestreamFail. The game had been ongoing for more than 50 hours at that point, but they have not stopped. Reddit user ItsLikeRunescape posted a clip from the stream on r/LivestreamFail.

It’s not about waiting for someone to surrender. “Ruben can still win by maximizing the number of units he has and slowly grinding away at his castle, as well as kitting its arrow shots. ItsLikeRunescape said that this must be done while Andre’s asleep/away so the game could go on for a very long time. “Ruben said that if he loses enough units, he will retreat to his castle and wait until someone concedes. It is hard to know how long this will last.

The match is ongoing as of right now. You can check it out. Both streamers want to see this through to its end. However, it is still unknown how long it will take to declare a winner. Good luck, fellas.
