I will not lie. I am very excited about Pokemon Scarlet/Violet this year. While 2019’s Pokemon Sword/Shield was a disappointing disappointment, this year’s fantastic Pokemon Legends: Arceus proved that there is still life in the legendary franchise – if GameFreak is willing to take more risks and shake up that formula.

According to what we know, Scarlet/Violet wants to do precisely that. According to the game, it is set in an open world rather than SwoShield’sd’s drab wild areas. This is a good starIt’st’s encouraging! If we can take it even further by implementing many of the features that made legends: Arceus feel alive, then maybe we can create something truly special.

This has been going on for many years. I will choose a Pokemon such as Litten or Tepig, only for them eventually to become these two-legged humanoid monsters.don’t know if you feel the same, but I would like my four-legged friend to become a noble beast and not just a football mascot.

Starters in Scarlet/Violet are promisinFuecoco’so’s adorable, dumb expression of awe is reflected in Quaxly’sy’s little face. My ducky friend would be my best friend on the seven seas. Sprigatito is my current preference, as my love for cats outweighs my apathy toward Grass-type Pokemon. But the fear is still there. Fear that they will become another two-legged humanoid” “m”n” once they reach level 36. This is what rule 34 artists fear.

Beyond the four-to-two leg thing, I think most starter final evolutionary in the last few games were utterly mediocre and not representative of their original form. Don’t think I would have chosen Scorbunny if I had known he would become a football player. The same goes for Rowlett. I will never forget what they did. Yoshouldn’t’t picks a starter by chance. And yoshouldn’t’t feels guilty if they become something that is a million times worse than before.

Already some stunning fan-made efforts (see above show what Fuecoco and Quaxly could look like as adults. There are plenty of potentials to make them magnificent beasts rather than just another group of clowns. We’ll have to wait to see what happens with this new group. But, I swear, if I have to go to the Elite Four with a Sprigatito transformed into a tennis player, or something similar, I will not be happy.
