Final Starter Evolutions for ‘Pokemon Scarlett and Violet’ Must Do One Thing
I will not lie. I am very excited about Pokemon Scarlet/Violet this year. While 2019’s Pokemon Sword/Shield was a disappointing disappointment, this year’s fantastic Pokemon Legends: Arceus proved that there is still life in the legendary franchise – if GameFreak is willing to take more risks and shake up that formula.
According to what we know, Scarlet/Violet wants to do precisely that. According to the game, it is set in an open world rather than SwoShield’sd’s drab wild areas. This is a good starIt’st’s encouraging! If we can take it even further by implementing many of the features that made legends: Arceus feel alive, then maybe we can create something truly special.

Beyond the four-to-two leg thing, I think most starter final evolutionary in the last few games were utterly mediocre and not representative of their original form. Don’t think I would have chosen Scorbunny if I had known he would become a football player. The same goes for Rowlett. I will never forget what they did. Yoshouldn’t’t picks a starter by chance. Already some stunning fan-made efforts (see above show what Fuecoco and Quaxly could look like as adults. There are plenty of potentials to make them magnificent beasts rather than just another group of clowns. We’ll have to wait to see what happens with this new group. But, I swear, if I have to go to the Elite Four with a Sprigatito transformed into a tennis player, or something similar, I will not be happy.
