How to unlock Infinite Ammo in Resident Evil 2

If you’re good at the sport, in Resident Evil two you can get Infinite Ammo as a bonus reward. We are going to be going over the ways you can get the Infinite Ammo reward in Resident Evil 2 in the manual below.

Before beginning it should be mentioned Infinite Ammo in Resident Evil 2 may be unlocked together with every one of them with different requirements, for three distinct weapons. The Resident Evil two Infinite Ammo weapons are the S.T.A.R.S Signature Pistol called the Samurai Edge, the LE 5 SMG and the Combat Knife.

Resident Evil 2 Samurai Edge Infinite Ammo Requirements

To get a Samurai Edge with Infinite Ammo you need to beat the campaign in Standard Difficulty with a S Rank, which is pretty tough. This also needs to be done in a certain amount of time, that being the following:

  • Under 3.5 hours for Leon A and Claire A
  • Under 3 hours for Leon B and Claire B

Resident Evil 2 LE 5 SMG Infinite Ammo Requirements

To get the L5 Submachine gun with Infinite Ammo you need to beat the campaign in Hardcore Difficulty with an S Rank, which should prove to be a much tougher challenge than before. Like the requirements of the Samurai Edge, here too you’ll need to finish the scenarios in a certain amount of time:

  • Under 2.5 hours for Leon A and Claire A
  • Under 2 hours for Leon B and Claire B

Resident Evil 2 Unlimited Combat Knifes Requirements

The requirement to unlock Infinite Combat Knifes are different from the ones for the Samurai Edge and L5 SMG. To get Infinite Combat Knifes you’ll need to find and shoot 15 Mr. Raccoons, which are the dolls for the Raccoon City Zoo mascot. These are found throughout the campaign, although some are only found in either Leon or Claire’s scenarios. The breakdown is as below:

  • Leon A – 11/15 Mr. Raccoons
  • Claire A – 3/15 Mr. Raccoons
  • Leon B – 1/15 Mr. Raccoons
  • Claire B – 0/15 Mr. Raccoons

That about covers it, now onto the strategy you should use. Getting an S Rank is difficult enough in Resident Evil 2 and one of the toughest challenges you’ll face if you play on the Hardcore Difficulty. A good strategy would to be to understand the scenarios and complete it first on Standard Difficulty to get the Infinite Samurai Edge which you can later use in your Hardcore run. The Infinite Combat Knifes can easily be unlocked in a single play-through of each scenario if you know where to look.
