Destiny 2: How to Get Ascendancy Rocket Launcher and What it Does

Each as is customaryDestiny 2Season, Season of the Lost introduced a new ritual weapon which players can get from Zavala or Lord Shaxx. This weapon can deal with solar damage, as well as Ascendancy. Destiny 2It can be acquired in a completely different way than any other ritual weapon.

 How to Ascendancy

For a change, Bungie added Season of the Lost’s new ritual weapon directly into the rewards for each of the main vendors in the Tower, rather than having a Legendary quest to be claimed at Banshee-44’s. This is a welcome change as it allows players the freedom to choose which activity they prefer and still receive the ritual weapon. Activity Streaks is another option that works well with this change.

Crucible and Gambit used to have Streaks already, but players were considered to be on a Streak (and thus earn extra points when completing the activity) only if they won the match. Season of the Lost gave all playlist activities a Streak. This builds up the more players play the activity and can be up to five stacks.

Points can increase the vendor’s reputation rank. Streaks increase points per activity and speed up the process. For example, players can get 135 points per Strike for the Vanguard with 5 Streaks, but Legend Nightfalls award 261 points with 5 Streaks; also, Crucible players with 5 Streaks gain 230 points from losing a match, meaning victories can be even speedier.

Once players have reached 16 ranks with any of the ritual vendors, Ascendancy is available. The best way to quickly get it is to do one activity. Nightfalls are probably the best because players can also get Nightfall weapons, Ascendant Shards, and other goodies.

What is Ascendancy?

Ascendancy is a Precision Frame rocket launcher, meaning it will fire a smaller rocket that auto-locks on the target it is aimed at. This archetype is relevant because of how rocket launchers work in the game’s ammo economy.
