It has a dark and depressing atmosphere, with the most disturbing and disgusting enemies. There is also a unique combat system and puzzle-solving mechanics.
Only the dead survive. After discovering a strange artifact from a distant planet, a massive deep-space mining vessel goes dark. Engineer Isaac Clarke sets out to repair the damage, but he discovers that the ship’s crew has been brutally slaughtered and infected with an alien scourge. Isaac is now trapped and cut off. He fights for his survival.
Dead Space is a groundbreaking horror survival game that completely changed the genre. It’s amazing to me that it isn’t mentioned in the same breath Resident evil. It is truly unique and constantly innovating on every game mechanic.
It’s obvious that this game was a labor of love and that the developers put in a lot of effort to make it a great game. It is a classic in every way and one of the greatest games of its generation.
