ANIMAL CROSSING NEW HORIZONS: JANUARY OVERVIEW
January is here in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It’s the first month of the new year. The New Year’s Countdown kicks off the month and the year. There’s still plenty to do, even though things might slow down. There are new fish and bugs to be found, as well as the last chance for those that may soon disappear. It would be best if you also kept an eye on birthdays. There’s also the Fishing Tournament and the Bug Off in Southern Hemisphere to look forward to.
Let’s get right into it and see what January has in store for New Horizons.
If you are in the Northern Hemisphere, snow will stay for every month.
What is happening in January? Many things are happening in January. The New Year’s Countdown is the main event. It starts on December 31 and continues through January 1. The Fishing Tournament and the Bug Off for Southern Hemisphere Players will be held later in the month.
NEW YEAR’S DAY
A New Year’s Countdown is a great way to celebrate the year’s end and the next one’s start. New Horizons allows you to do exactly that. The countdown is officially held at the end of December, but it continues into January, so this event is included. You can count down to midnight together with other villagers and enjoy a spectacular fireworks display. The fireworks display starts at midnight and continues until 2 am. Make sure you get your New Year’s hats or party poppers to celebrate in style!
Resident Services will remain closed during New Year’s Eve (December 31, 2017). The New Year’s countdown will block the entrance. This is important to remember if you need to access Resident Services. You can either do it or wait until January 1 when Resident Services reopens. You don’t have to miss out on your Nook Miles points redemption at the Nook Stop terminal. Your points will be available for collection on January 1.
Nook Shopping offers exclusive content for the New Year, so don’t miss out on this opportunity. These seasonal items will be available starting January 1 through the 5th.
