Ogres Total War. Warhammer 3 loves their food, and part of their purpose in life is to explore all the meat available. Their army logistics mechanic is their love for beef and sinewy foods. Each Ogre army has its meat supply, which must be maintained to remain on the field and continue their strategic missions. These are the top ways to earn meat for hungry Ogres.
Ogres have a variety of buildings they can build to provide stable meat supply to nearby armies since meat is closely tied to Ogre supply lines. Both camps and settlements can create these buildings.
It is unlikely that one settlement can sustain a large Ogre band indefinitely. They will have to find other poor saps to destroy and convert them into tasty edibles. Any combat will produce some meat depending on how large the army is defeated. To generate additional cash and forage root in the area, troops can take a raiding stance.
A permanent solution to increase the Ogre meat supply is research technology. A few technologies are available in the Ogre Kingdoms Research Tree to increase each army’s meat production. This allows troops to move away from their usual stomping ground and become independent for a while.
Ogre Heroes such as the Butcher will provide meat to the army embedded in, making it more mobile. Heroes provide tactical utility as well as keeping the army well-stocked for campaigning. Random events can have a negative or positive effect on the Ogre meat supply, depending on their nature.
